How to use Viro
Closing the Activity Ring
Complete three eco-actions each day to close your Activity Ring. This daily goal encourages consistent, impactful actions that contribute to the sustainability mission. The Activity Ring resets each night at midnight.
What is co2e reduced?
"CO2e reduced" refers to the amount of carbon dioxide equivalent that is reduced or prevented from being emitted into the atmosphere. This measurement includes not only CO2, but also other greenhouse gases like methane and nitrous oxide, expressed in terms of the global warming potential of carbon dioxide.
Viro calculates CO2e reduction in pounds using Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) metrics.

Simply type your question in the Climate Copilot chat, and it will provide insights tailored to your sustainability queries. It’s an excellent resource for staying informed and making data-driven eco-decisions.
Viro Verify
Use AI image recognition to log actions based on uploaded images, making it easy to validate and record sustainable actions.
How to Use: After completing an eco-action, snap a photo and upload it through the app. Viro Verify will analyze the image to confirm the action, ensuring transparency and accuracy for your impact metrics.

How do I log an eco-action?

Go to your dashboard, select the category (Eat, Move, or Renew), and choose the specific action you completed. Make sure to log actions on the day they’re completed for accurate tracking.
What happens if I miss logging an action on the same day?

Actions must be logged on the day they’re completed to ensure accurate CO2e tracking. Unfortunately, past actions cannot be logged, so try to log your activities daily.
How is CO2e reduction calculated?

Viro uses the United States Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) greenhouse gas equivalencies calculator to measure the impact of each eco-action, allowing you to see your positive environmental contribution.
Can I participate in both individual and team challenges at the same time?

Yes, you can join both individual and team challenges if they’re available. Individual challenges track your personal progress, while team challenges focus on collective achievements. All employees are automatically entered into Individual Challenges.
Who decides the team I’m on for team challenges?

Admins at your organization are responsible for team selection, ensuring a balanced setup for fair competition.
How do I view my challenge rankings?

Visit the leaderboard in the app to see your ranking in individual challenges or your team’s standing in team challenges. The leaderboard updates in real-time based on completed eco-actions.
Are there prizes for completing challenges?

Yes, Viro offers prizes for individual monthly challenges, usually in the form of emailed gift cards to the top performers. For custom challenges created by your organization, check with your Admin to confirm prize details.
What is Climate Copilot, and how do I use it?

Climate Copilot is an AI tool in Viro that answers questions about sustainability and climate change. Simply type your question in the chat to receive quick insights tailored to your interests. Your organization must be enrolled in Powerapps Premium to use Climate Copilot.
What is Viro Verify, and how does it work?

After completing an action, snap a photo and upload it in the app. Viro Verify will confirm the action through image analysis, ensuring accuracy in your impact metrics.
